New Weather Data Interpolation Options in Terrier
Radar displays aren’t just about the data; they’re also about how that data is rendered. In this update, we’re adding bicubic weather data interpolation to Terrier, giving developers another option for creating smoother imagery. We’re also introducing an npm package that makes Terrier easier to integrate into modern web applications.

The Ultimate Animated Wind Display (So Far)
Wind is one of the most interesting aspects of weather to visualize. It has to communicate direction and intensity clearly, react quickly, and still look good while users zoom, pan, and animate the map. In this post, we look at how we built an animated wind display in Terrier, why directional data is tricky, and what finally made continuous wind animation work on mobile.
Tracking the El Niño Weather Pattern in 2026
El Niño is more than a seasonal buzzword. In this post, we explain how the El Niño weather pattern develops, why tropical Pacific ocean temperatures matter, and how shifting atmospheric circulation can influence weather across North America and beyond. From trade winds and the Walker Circulation to winter storm tracks, here is how one climate signal reshapes global weather.
The Mechanics of Global Weather Patterns
Why does the weather in one region influence conditions thousands of miles away? This post explores atmospheric circulation, advection, jet streams, and observation systems that help shape global weather patterns.
Meandair Weather Models Now Available
We’re continuing to expand the specialized datasets available across our platform, including weather models from Meandair. By blending satellite imagery with multiple forecast models, these datasets provide more precise short-term cloud cover forecasts, along with forecasts of turbulence, precipitation, thunderstorms, and more. Available through Terrier, WCS, and Labrador, the data can be displayed, queried, and transformed for a wide variety of operational workflows.
Future Radar WCS Queries: A Practical Walkthrough
We’re taking a closer look at the data behind our future radar product and how future radar WCS queries work in practice. From MRMS reflectivity to advected forecasts, this walkthrough shows how to request, interpret, and apply the data.
Have a project in mind?
We are a Software as a Service company, and we charge accordingly. Our customers rent their own Boxer stack and gain access to our Terrier front-end libraries. We process a variety of standard data sets, which is…. standard. But we also process custom data you may buy or generate yourself. That’s where things get interesting
